We operate with the assumption that there is a reason your shears came with certain specifications from the factory and those specifications need to be maintained, and if altered by another sharpener, restored.
Clipper blades and scissor sharpening are our specialty. We sharpen scissors and shears in the same way the most famous Japanese manufacturers sharpen their high quality scissors.
Today's Japanese style shears are significantly more sophisticated tools that require skilled service by either Susan or Nick, to continue performing as "factory new." In fact we service all types and models of scissors with the same precision and care.
We sharpen at your place of business. That way you do not lose any time without your shears. Don‘t worry, we don’t take too much space and we only require an outlet. Our machine is rather small, quiet and quite safe and can be located in a public area, or you can hide us in the dispensary if you wish.
Each scissor takes approximately 20 minutes to service depending on the condition of the shear. Before we leave you get to try them out and we get to make sure they are reconditioned to your satisfaction.

HOW TO TELL IF THEY NEED SHARPENING/SERVICING
It is recommended that if you cut between six and eight clients with wet hair a day using Japanese/Convex edged scissors, they should be serviced every six months. If you do the same numbers but cut dry hair service every four months. It soon adds up and of course if you do more than this send for servicing sooner.
We recommend servicing every 3 - 6 months or as soon as the first sign of dullness or damage to your shear occurs.

booking appointments
When booking appointments we must book a minimum of (4) pair of shears in need of sharpening. Please understand with the cost of fuel and the demand for our services at other establishments we need to keep cost down by keeping our days “productive”.
Priority Appointments
When calling with a priority appointment due to unexpected repairs needed, or damage to your cutting tools or clippers (if needed within the next 48 hrs) there will be a small travel surcharge if we are not in your area as we plan our days by route. This allows us to be more time efficient, we don’t have to impose on our pre-booked clients by waiting on us, and it cuts down on the cost of fuel.
*If we are scheduled to be within a 5 mile radius of your area, we will forego the additional charge.
Appointments can be made (3) ways:
Phone: Call to schedule your appointment Mon – Sat, 8am – 7pm. Often we are in the field servicing, if we don’t answer either leave us a message (We return calls within a 12 hour time period)or if your call is for Priority Service, you will be instructed as to what to do via voicemail when you call.
Pre-schedule: While we are there to service your tools, pre-schedule your appointments in advance.
Email: Finally, and probably the easiest way is to go online and fill out a "Scheduling Form." We respond to those within 12 hours also, however due to technology and being able to work on the road, it’s usually in less time than that.
Cancellation Policy
Because your Sharpening services are reserved for you, we ask that you notify us at least 12 - 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or re-schedule. This would allow us to schedule high priority appointments that are in need of last minute service due to unexpected repairs, or damage to their tools / equipment

We guarantee factory quality servicing to all brands of high quality hair stylist scissors and shears. So if you
get your scissors serviced by us, we'll make sure that you are happy with the results and that your investment is properly cared for. Our servicing carries a 30 day drop and nick warranty. This way
we can insure your complete satisfaction even if you damage your scissor yourself during the warranty period. Please contact us for details.
We would like to point out here that we can not service poorly made scissors and usually advise against servicing corroded scissors or severely damaged scissors. We also can not provide any
guarantees for scissors previously unprofessionally sharpened.
